Your task: • The idea behind pointillism is that lots of dots can be used to create an image. • Close up and without seeing the whole picture, we won’t be able to work out what the picture is of. • When standing far away and being able to see the whole picture, our eyes and brains will blend the dots and colours together to create an image • Your task is to take a photo of, find or even draw a very close up or magnified image of a regular household item and write a series of clues to go along with it. • The idea is that by using your clues, we will be able to work out what the picture is of. • Here are some examples of some close up images and labels of what they are: Baked cheese Spool of thread Dragonfly wing Spaghetti • The next slides are an example of how you might do this.

Your turn! • Your task is to take a photo of, find or even draw a very close up or magnified image of a regular household item and write a series of clues to go along with it. • The idea is that by using your clues, we will be able to work out what the picture is of. This is taking our riddles work from yesterday, further! • You could do what I did, by offering slightly zoomed out pictures with each clue, or you could just provide a list of clues to go with the picture. • If you wanted to take a clipping from the Seurat painting instead of using a household item (like I did), that would be fine too. • See if you can be even more cryptic than my example. If you wanted to make it rhyme like yesterday’s work, please feel free to challenge yourself!
