Day 1 Visit Melbourne Aquarium Our Guided tour will see students embark on an

Day 1 Visit Melbourne Aquarium Our Guided tour will see students embark on an underwater journey through SEA LIFE Melbourne Aquarium’s 12 amazing themed zones and learn about the survival of the animals on display. Students will explore the challenges faced by marine communities and the unique adaptations required to overcome extreme environments. To that end, we evaluate the impacts of humans discussing issues such as climate change, habitat loss, introduced species, pollution, poaching and the ways in which animals and plants are forced to survive. Key program focuses include: • Marine environments and habitats • Diets and food acquisition • Animal survival and adaptation • Human impacts on marine communities Exploration of Enterprize Park and Southbank Promenade for lunch.

Medication • Medical and Medication forms will be distributed together with consent forms early

Medication • Medical and Medication forms will be distributed together with consent forms early in Term 4. • All medical conditions need to be listed. • All medication must be clearly labelled with the correct dosage and must be in pharmacy supplied bottles or boxes. It should then be placed in a named zip lock bag. The medication will be signed in to the teacher in charge of medication on the morning of camp. • Asthma puffers, asthma medication and spacers must be labelled and placed in a zip lock bag and handed to the teacher in charge with an Asthma Management Plan. • Due to the timing of camp, all medication will need to be handed in the morning of camp to the teachers in charge.

What to Bring • CYC Camp provides all bedding and towels – so there

What to Bring • CYC Camp provides all bedding and towels – so there is no need for sleeping bags or pillows. • Students should only pack necessary items, as they will be required to carry their bags from the bus drop-off point to the camp. CYC has a luggage policy.

What to Bring • We will be doing a lot of walking, so practical and comfy shoes are a MUST! • Students will need a packed lunch with refillable drink bottle on the first day. This should be in a small backpack that students can carry while on the move in the city throughout our stay. • No other food (or sweets) should be brought to camp. CYC is a “No Nuts” venue.

What to Bring • Students are allowed to bring a maximum of $30 spending

What to Bring • Students are allowed to bring a maximum of $30 spending money with them. They will need to be responsible for this during our time away. • This money is to be used to purchase souvenirs / keepsakes. • Under no circumstances will students be allowed to buy food / drinks with this money. • Students can choose to spend some of their money at The Eureka Sky Deck if they wish to participate in “The Edge” experience ($8). • Students are not allowed to bring electronic items to camp e. g. i. Pods/phones/i. Pads.

Our Expectations of Students • All students are required to sign a Behaviour Contract

Our Expectations of Students • All students are required to sign a Behaviour Contract prior to attending the camp and discuss this with their parents. • Expectation of behaviour is the same as at school and home. • In the event of misbehaviour, consequences may be put into place e. g. a warning or they may miss an activity. • Should there be continued misbehaviour a phone call home will be made and further consequences put in place.

COST • The total cost for camp is $285. 00 which includes accommodation, all

COST • We understand that this is a significant expense for those families with more than one student enrolled in years 5&6 next year. • Therefore, School Council has decided to offer a discounted price for second (and in some cases, third) children from the one family attending camp. • $228 per additional child. • For example: 1 st Child = $285 and 2 nd Child = $228
