Mission and Views ▪ Apple Learning Company was created with the objective of inspiring confidence in children through fostering their educational well being. ▪ Apple Learning strives to maximize academic potential and promote student success.

Building Confidence ▪ Tutors are trained to build confidence in each child by using unique studentcentered approaches. ▪ Committed to success, building confidence and strength in each child. ▪ Each tutor works with each student oneon-one to meet their individual needs

Collaborative Programs ▪ “We pinpoint the students’ needs and work from there to build their skills” ▪ Collaborative Programs – – No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) Supplemental Educational Services(SES) Los Angeles County Office of Education(LACOE) and their Foster Youth Program United Friends of the Children(UFC)

Tutor’s Duties 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Administer Pre-Assessment in English and Math Discuss students’ needs with caregivers, social workers, and or sponsors. Create a Student lesson Plan(SLP) for each student Review the SLP with caregiver and or social worker Complete Monthly Progress Reports for each student Post-Assess students in Math and English Language Arts Tutors are to help students with English, Math, studying skills, organizational skills, and coping skills. They are provided with any necessary resources to meet their individual needs.

Working Together Tutors gain experience working with other professionals foster families. -Social workers -Counselors -Therapists -Caregivers -Sponsors

Funders Los Angeles County of Education (LACOE) funds Foster Youth Services(FYS) and United Friends of Children(UFC) to successfully contract Apple Learning Company.
