Below Expected Standard, Greater Depth.

Key Stage 1 SATS • Please do not take your child out of school

Key Stage 1 SATS • Please do not take your child out of school during April/May, as this is the assessment period. • You will no doubt be more anxious than your child, who in fact will be unaware of the SATS process. The tests are administered in small groups, in a very low key way, in a way that we often work in class. Most children are unaware that they have even done them, as many parents have commented in the past. • Juice and biscuits is always a treat here!

Whole School Approach to Behaviour • At Queensgate, we aim to provide a consistent approach to managing the school’s rewards and sanctions. • Children make their own good and bad choices and are aware of the sanctions in place. Behaviour is currently being monitored closely throughout the school and manners and respect are encouraged at all times. • Behaviour starts the minute the children enter the playground in the morning until they leave to go home at the end of the day (this includes Before & After School Club. ) • Please do not allow your children on the climbing equipment, or on the field before or after school. For health and safety reasons, children are also not allowed to ride on their scooters or bikes on the school grounds. • Please encourage your child to come into school independently before school, in order to enable a swift and prompt start to the school day. • By working together, we can help develop our children into independent, respectful, confident learners.
