Where do I drop off my child? Pre. K DROP OFF- on CAFETERIA CAR RIDER SIDE of the school (by the teacher parking lot)- We will all meet in the cafeteria. Pre. K PICK UP- on EARLY CHILDHOOD SIDE of school (by the soccer fields). All car riders must be listed on a visor form. Drivers must then be listed on every child’s enrollment card. Please stay in your car. The teachers will get your kids in and out of the vehicle.

What if I do not pick my child up on time? OR What if I’m not home when the bus drops off my child? Proper authorities will be notified if a bus rider is consistently returned OR if a car rider is Consistently picked up late. Child will be returned to Maplebrook. 3 returns = no bus privileges for 1 week 4 returns = no bus privileges for the year See page __ of student handbook

Other drop off/pick up concerns. . . … * No one may pick up the child who is not listed on the enrollment card. * Changes in transportation must be submitted in writing (note/email). * There will be. NO supervision for students arriving early (before 7: 30). *You must have a picture ID/Drivers License to pick up your child early.

OOPS! • All Pre. K students must have a full change of clothes in backpack in case of an accident. * Labeled in a Ziploc bag * Include: underwear, socks, pants, shorts & shirt ***Parents will be called to bring their child a change of clothes if needed.

Health Issues * Please do not send your child to school with fever, vomiting, diarrhea or on fever reducing medication. * Students may not return to school until they have been fever/diarrhea free for 24 hours. * If nasal discharge is green or yellow, please do not send them to school until it is clear in color. The color indicates an infection that can spread to the other children.

$ Fees $ * Party Fee $10. 00 (Winter Party, Friendship Party (in PTO packet) • Activity Fee $20. 00—used for consumable classroom supplies, field trip, and field trip T-Shirt. (Pay online through Rev Trak) * Please turn in / Pay Fee’s the first two weeks of school!!

Safety at Maplebrook *All visitors must check in at the office and present a driver’s license. * All visitors must wear a VISITOR sticker at all times * Parents may not enter through the Early Childhood entrance doors!!!!

What will my child do in Pre-K? * Learn letters and numbers * Beginning reading and writing skills * Stories & Songs * Learning Centers * Computer Time * Social Skills * Outside Play

Ready. Rosie • Ready. Rosie videos will be sent home every week. Please work on the video activities to enhance your child’s learning. These videos will all include skills your child is learning in the classroom. You will need to accept the request to have access to my videos I have aligned with what we are currently learning in the classroom.

Class. Dojo. . . Mrs. Polomsky would like you to join. . . Class. Dojo is an app you can get from your app store. It will allow me to update you daily with pictures and videos of what we are learning in the classroom. It will also allow for us to message back and forth. I will create our class account and send you a request to accept, through your phone.

Birthday Parties Please do not pass out party invitations at school. As a general rule, teachers do not attend student parties. We do not want any child to feel left out if we attend one party and are unable to attend another. We will be sure to celebrate your child’s birthday at school with a song and a dance at school.

Attendance * 3 Tardies = 1 day unexcused absence * 4 early pick-ups in a 4 week period = 1 unexcused absence * 3 unexcused absences = a letter home * You have 24 hours after your child returns to school to bring in an absence excuse for an excused absence Options for notifying of an absence: 1. Send a note to school before or after absence 2. Call the absent line: 281 -641 -2919 3. Send an email to the teacher
