What is Parent University? • Research shows that when families are involved in learning, they will play an active role in the educational process. This increase in parental engagement will positively contribute to children’s academic and social success. Parent University engages parents in innovative and meaningful partnerships for learning. • Our Goal: Provide an educational platform to build strong parent-teaching communities that will increase student achievement

Clinton Public Schools Website 2015 -2016 Donna Beck, web coordinator & Kristi Laperle, web assistant Specific Goals for 2015 -2016 • Update calendars with as many dates as soon as possible • Promote Website and connect to Facebook (via connect ed) to get parents using the web as their first stop for CPS Information -- Regard The School Website As Important • Encourage more teachers to use web—more training for up to date pages • Suggestions from staff/parents—What would make website even better? • Expand the web to include more “at home” materials • Work with staff to include more in the classroom news stories • Connect Ed Tab to update call messages as they are recorded. • Our School Website should be the first place to get all information--work with administrators and teachers to send info to us so that we can publish and make our school district “shine!”

CMS Accomplishments • • • • • CMS—Added Sections & More Summer Reading, Summer Math Packets Supply Lists all grade levels New Pictures added to Photo Album Redesigned top banner Restructured athletics section to make it more user friendly Trained coaches to update sections Added a new Connect Ed Tab and update it weekly Added a new Tab Curriculum Map and added all CMS grade specific curriculum maps (Work in Progress) Added a Student of the Month Spotlight section that is updated monthly Added over 100 news and announcement on the home page PARCC information and links Updated Calendar for CMS as early as possible at least 1 -2 months in advance Customized new Mobile Version monthly to include current topics monthly Responded to all incoming emails from the general public Set up Tab for My.
