What will be different next year? Middle School High School Four 9 -weeks and 4 report cards Two semesters of 18 weeks and 2 report cards Midterms are available every 4 ½ weeks. Progress Reports are available every 6 weeks. Final grade is an average of your 4 report card grades. Credits are earned by your 1 st and 2 nd semester grades. Electives change every 9 weeks All electives classes are for a full year. Promotion based on yearly grades. Promotion is based on total credits. You must have 6 credits to be a sophomore.

Daily Schedule and Rotation Daily Bell Schedule Advisory 8: 25 - 8: 55 1 st Block 8: 59 - 10: 23 2 nd Block 10: 27 - 11: 51 3 rd Block (Lunch Block) 11: 55 - 1: 47 4 th Block 1: 51 - 3: 15 The schedule is on an A/B block rotation. You will attend 4 classes each day for 84 minutes each.
How many credits do I need to graduate from Douglass? ENGLISH – You need 4 credits MATH – You need 3 credits. Algebra 2 is mandatory. SCIENCE - You need 3 credits. Biology is mandatory. SOCIAL STUDIES - You need 3 credits: Citizenship/Government, World History and US History. These 3 classes are mandatory. Health and Physical Education - You need a ½ credit of each class. Humanities - You need 1 credit Electives - You need 11 credits. Make sure you include your pathway courses. You have the opportunity to earn 32 credits at FDHS during your 4 years.
MAP Scores Matter! English For enrollment in Advanced English 1, students must have a MAP score of 232 or above. Math MAP scores in the lowest 20 th percentile will be enrolled in a math elective for extra support. Math class depends on current enrollment and proper sequence. Science Percentile in Reading and Math is used to determine placement. Top 20 th percentile will be eligible for enrollment in Advanced Biology.
