They are famous folk singers in Bangladesh. In general, Songs tell about pleasure, pain and pang of our daily life. There are some songs which tells the tale of love and sorrow with deeper connotation. Those songs also have rural setting with rustic, raw and pure emotions to speak of people in the background in every sense. Let’s have the taste of a famous folk song.

Folk songs are songs sung in the traditional style of a community or country. Here the traditional style includes themes, words and tunes of the songs that have existed for a long time among the common people.
We have a rich history and collection of folk songs in Bangladesh. Of them Palligiti, Bhatiali, Bhawaiya, Jari, Sari, Gambhira, Lalongiti, Palagaan and songs of Hason Raja are very popular. The traditional musical instruments are usually played with these songs.
