Opportunity The organisation launched on 1 January 2017 following the requirement in the 2015 Strategic Defence and Security Review to establish a single provider of government National Security Vetting Services. It brought together the well respected vetting organisations of the Defence The Role Business Services National Security Vetting, and Foreign and Commonwealth Services National Security Vetting. On 1 April 2020, UKSV transitioned into the Cabinet Office to be at the centre The Person of UK security by joining the Government Security Group (GSG). UKSV has a mandate to establish a single vetting database, portable vetting and standardised pricing across government. The SC team are responsible for processing CTC (Counter-Terror & SC applications for clearance within United Kingdom Security Vetting for a diverse customer base. The SC team is currently based across three sites: Milton Keynes, York & Liverpool and is made up of over 100 people including case assessors, vetting case officers, team leaders & operational managers. The SC team promotes a wide range of training & development opportunities, encouraging staff to work closely with line managers to identify suitable progression routes to take and are supported to do so. The SC team is continuously growing & adapting not just to industry changes but also to meet increases in demand from a diverse customer base. About Benefits All training for your new role at UKSV will be done ‘on

About Benefits All training for your new role at UKSV will be done ‘on the job’. During your first week you will attend the UKSV The Role Opportunity On the Job Training All Staff Induction, which takes place at Imphal Barracks in York. If your normal place of work is not the York office, you will be required to travel to and stay in York for the duration of the induction, which is normally three days and two nights. Your travel and accommodation will be provided and paid for. Once you have completed the All Staff Induction, you may be required to undertake 6 weeks training within your new department. This is usually done at your normal place of work and the length of training can vary The Person between departments. If your usual place of work is not the York office, you may be required to travel to and stay in York for some of this training. The Process Please note: all new starters will be required to work full time for the duration of their training period.
