The Process The Person The Role It brought together the well respected vetting organisations of the Defence Business Services National Security Vetting, and Foreign and Commonwealth Services National Security Vetting. UKSV has a mandate to establish a single vetting database, portable vetting and standardised pricing across government. UKSV aims to operate as a highly efficient and customer focused organisation.

These services are Opportunity key to the delivery of National Security. The organisation employs approximately 600 staff and interacts with more than 130 customer organisations. UKSV is a customer focused, trusted and efficient organisation currently hosted within MOD’s Defence Business Services (DBS) soon to be The Role transitioned to the Cabinet Office. The UKSV Service Manager will play a key role in supporting customers directly, but also in supporting senior colleagues / working with wider UKSV and MOD colleagues to provide significant enhancements to the customer experience; ensuring the future success and growth of UKSV. The UKSV Service team is geographically split across three sites, Cheadle, York and Milton Keynes, with a small The Process The Person presence at RAF Wyton. About Benefits Opportunity The Role The Person The Process The Role Description We are currently recruiting for a proactive and driven Service Manager to be responsible for a customer group, capturing their issues and working with a range of stakeholder to deliver resolutions. As a Service Manager, your responsibilities will include: • Key point of contact for UKSV customers which involves managing Service Level Agreements, monitoring performance through Management Information packs. • Provide support to Service Assistant Heads and Senior Service Managers. • Collate customer intelligence through Strategic Account Planning to identify opportunities for service improvement. This will involve identifying and delivering tangible improvements for our customers. • Arrange, attend and facilitate customer meetings, large-scale engagement events, workshops and forums. • Lead and support on key service portfolios of work involving the management of customer communications, including high profile letters to senior customers, management of the UKSV newsletter products including Connect and Network together with ad hoc publications. • Playing an active role in achieving/maintaining/developing/delivering all corporate initiatives, including maintenance of Customer Service Excellence Award. • Line Management and development of staff. There will be a requirement for regular travel and occasional overnight stays throughout the UK.

About The Person Specification Opportunity Benefits As a Service Manager within UK Security Vetting, we are looking for people who have the following expertise and attributes: • Able to deliver a consistent and high quality customer focused service to relevant stakeholders • Able to work collaboratively when liaising with stakeholders and credible when briefing senior managers • Ability to lead and support • Excellent critical thinking skills with the ability to exercise good judgement and solve problems effectively • Prior experience of reviewing customer insight and thinking innovatively The Person The Role Desirable: • Experience of Service Management and delivering excellent customer service • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively at all levels • Excellent organisational skills • Highly motivated and dynamic Successful candidates must meet the security requirements before they can be appointed.
