Upper Canada Creamery and New Care Farm are owned and operated by Josh and Rudi Biemond and their families, second generation on the farm established by their parents who emigrated from Holland in 1981. The farm is certified organic for crops and the dairy herd; the on-farm plant produces certified organic yogurt.
The tour focused on the Biemond farm story, management of the grass fed herd, establishment of the processing unit, and issues related to the Canadian organic production standards.
