Math Teaching Point: I can use strategies to add three-digit numbers. • Word Problem of the Day • I can use strategies to add large numbers. • Task: Complete the multiple addend assessment. • Mini-lesson: Today we will begin learning about how to add numbers within 1, 000. We will use some of the same strategies that we have used all year. We can decompose numbers to add, and we can set it up in a tic-tac-toe chart. Let’s practice some problems together using our white boards and no regrouping.
