TCM Charter School Tavares-Cruz-Morales Charter School Wendy Tavares, Gabrielle Cruz and Julializ Morales

Acceptance, students, faculty ● ● 250 -500 students, Student to teacher ratio: 20: 1 $2, 000 -$10, 000 based on parent/guardian income. Scholarships are available for student whose parents do not earn enough to pay, but have the potential and testing scores to attend TCM. ● Each classroom will be encouraged to have a student teacher. ● Classes to help with graduation requirements and college acceptance will be provided to the students.

Structure of school ● TCM Charter School will be located on the beach. ● There will be separate buildings on campus. ● Dorms will be available to anyone who lives too far from the school. (The prices will vary. )

The day of a student ● School starts at 9: 30 and ends at 3 ● There will be a total of 5 classes a day ● Lunch will be available from 12 -1 only, students have a “free block” during lunch ● Free blocks and privileges can be earned (cell phone use, seniors can be allowed to leave school premises, etc. )

Classes ● AP/honors classes available to the students who exceed standards for regular classes. ● French, Portuguese, and spanish class. (completion of only one language class is required to graduate) ● Music, art, gym, and Home economic ● Classes to help with graduation requirements and college acceptance will be provided to the students.

Classroom rules ● ● ● No phones in class, hallway use only. Talk at appropriate time. Allowed to go to the restroom only when it's an emergency Respect one another Everyone should be at their dorm by 9: 30 PM Student teachers should receive the same amount of respect that the teacher does. ● All assignments should be completed on time. ● 5 minutes between each period, therefore no one should be late unless a pass is provided by a teacher or staff member.

School Disciplines Students will receive consequences at TCM for… ● Not being in your dorm by 9: 30 pm without permission. ● Showing up to any of your classes late more than 3 times a quarter. ● Inappropriate behavior ● Misuse of privileges ● Any altercations between other students

Activities ● There will be basketball, football, soccer, volleyball, and baseball available to the students. ● There will also be Drama, Art, Music, Homework, and Technology clubs. ● Different committees such as the dance, government, and events committee. ● Each student is recommended to participate in at least one extracurricular class.

Mission Statement We are hoping to help each and every one of our students become successful. We are here to push them, and to participate in the following of their dreams. Our students aren’t only learning or getting help, they’re teaching and lending hands to everyone around them. We hope to see our students strive in any environment or situation.
