Applying the Grid: • Grid off your photo using 1” by 1” squares – The grid must be done precisely to prevent distortion • Grid off your drawing paper using 1. 5” by 1. 5” squares – Draw the squares lightly to prevent waffling • Note that you will have left over squares, and will need to adjust accordingly • You must erase the grid before you begin shading
