AVID Elective Curriculum

Classwork: We will do AVID lessons on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. These assignments will focus on literacy, study These skills, and organizational skills. assignm ents will be given a grade of +, , or - or graded formally using rubrics. Grading Policy

• Tutorials will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays. • Your children will be working in groups supervised by college tutors. • These groups will help them answer questions that they have in their academic classes. • Your children will be expected to complete a Tutorial Request Form prior to Tutorial sessions. • These forms will be graded and will be used to help calculate the Tutorial grade each quarter. Binders are evaluated on a regular basis! Required Binder Contents • 3 -ring binder with 3 inch rings • Colored dividers to separate each academic class • Zipper pouch to store supplies • Two pens and two pencils • Loose Leaf paper • Planner • One Eraser and one highlighter Binder
