This week, you will produce pieces of writing based on the idea of the Strangest Shop in the World. The best pieces of writing will include imaginative ideas about: What the Strangest Shop in the World would sell; where it would be in the world; what the shopkeeper would be like; what it would look like inside. Warm up for the start of this unit by thinking of some truly strange and bizarre things that may only be found in the Strangest Shop in the World - and we’re not talking about anything that might be found in the shops you might normally go in. Here are just a few examples…
Close your eyes and think about what it would be like inside the Strangest Shop in the World. Jot your ideas down. What can you see? What can you smell? What can you hear? What can you feel? What can you taste?
