Malta is a small island in the Mediterranean sea, the capital is Valetta, the

Malta is a small island in the Mediterranean sea, the capital is Valetta, the official language is English, the area is 300 sq. km. The population is 500 000. The diving is the most popular sport activity on the island, tourist industry is very important to the economy. Malta is very well fortified because for many years it was the stronghold of the Order of the Maltese Knights. Warm sea attracts lots of tourists and that contributes greatly to the country’s prosperity. The country has some big and popular English Language Schools.

The Palace of The Knights Is the most famous place on the island. It was built in the 16 th century and is a colossal building. The palace has about 500 rooms, 100 halls and 50 staircases. For many years The Palace was the residence of the Grand Master of the Maltese Order. Today it is visited by thousands of tourists.
