以撒在<<聖詩與靈歌>>寫道: “怎樣寛大厚道的人, 眼見信眾唱詩時神情呆滯, 或是 漫不經心, 難免對眾人的信仰熱忱大打折扣. 不過話 得說回來, 只怕今日的普遍表現, 不過是內心反照而 已. ” “To see the dull Indifference, the negligent and the thoughtless Air that sits upon the Faces of a whole Assembly, while the Psalm is upon their Lips, might tempt even a charitable Observer to suspect the Fervency of inward Religion; and ‘tis much to be fear’d that the Minds of most of the Worshippers are absent or unconcern’d. ”

My Ministry: “Songs before unknown” 一生職事: “譜寫前所未聞之歌”: “用詩歌 說神的榮耀, 以歌聲向神傾吐心中的喜 樂—是敬拜真神的極致” “To speak the glories of God in a religious song, or to breathe out the joys of our own sprit to God with the melody of our voice, is an exalted part of divine worship. ”

First establish the use of spiritual songs in church He was the first writer to convince church fathers “that it is proper to use spiritual songs of human composure as well as the Psalms of David to worship God. ” 得教會長老認同基督徒不但可以用神所默示的詩 篇敬拜神，也可以用人手創作的靈歌敬拜神。

4. His dying crimson 深紅色(的血), like a robe, Spreads o’er (over) His body on the tree; Then I am dead to all the globe, And all the globe is dead to me. 5. Were the whole realm of nature mine, That were a present far too small; Love so amazing, so divine, Demands my soul, my life, my all.
