Psychiatry Residency Program at Jamaica Hospital of Medisys Health Process: The date of the entrance exam: usually in mid or late October The length of the exam: half day The content of the exam: Medicine: 50 questions for 50 points Neurology: 50 questions for 50 points Psychiatry: 50 questions for 50 points One essay: usually a topic for reasoning, for 50 points Total 200 points

Psychiatry Residency Program at Jamaica Hospital of Medisys Health Process: Scoring: usually takes about 2 weeks to finish scoring Number of candidates interviewed: usually 8 -10 candidates interviewed for each position, e. g. If 4 positions available, usually top 40 candidates from 200 people take the exam will be interviewed. Interview season: usually mid November to mid December, no second round interview to save candidate’s time and cost but each candidate will be interviewed by usually 8 different interviewers
