What was the key feedback you got from your focus group? • The colour

What was the key feedback you got from your focus group? • The colour Purple because its gender neutral, also it contrasts well with lighter colours and is the college colour. • Interesting images and large images to keep the readers attention and to help provide backstory for a story. • A Large font will make it easy to read and a easily readable font as if the font has anything like connecting letters or oddly shaped letters it may confuse the reader. • College life, student stories. • The front cover that would work the best would be one with a dark colour scheme to match the college colours and have a lighter font to contrast easily.

How has the findings from your focus group influenced your idea for your double

How has the findings from your focus group influenced your idea for your double page spread and front cover? Content Interesting large images and text to make it easy to understand easily readable, including stories about college life and student activities. Sports, best WIFI, student stories. Different stories accompanied by images for more detail, including multiple stories instead of one makes the information seem more interesting as it doesn't drag on and that makes the information being given seem more interesting. Colour A Dark colour scheme with a lighter background to contrast with and make it easily readable, Colours such as dark purple, because it’s the college colour, as well as being easy to contrast by having lighter coloured text or the other way around having dark text on a light background. Purple is also seen as a gender neutral colour which means that the stories and layout will have no gender preference and is for all college students to read.

How has the findings from your focus group influenced your idea for your double

How has the findings from your focus group influenced your idea for your double page spread and front cover? Photos The photo’s used will be to do with the information and will be big, to draw in the readers attention as that’s the first thing they notice, the images used will match the colour scheme of the page, this makes it look more professional and organized, as if the images used don’t really match they create a contrast and make the page’s layout not as good looking. Style and design the text will be large to be easily understandable and the colour scheme will be dark to contrast with the background and make everything stand out, this design will be minimal but work for people to see what they want to see. The text could either be light on a dark background or dark on a light background as long as it contrasts with the background it will work as this maintains the easy to read aspect of the design. the images will be placed near to the text they refer to on the page as this will avoid any confusion when looking at the different stories.
