Digital Detector Array (DDA) technique, overview - Radiographic image instantly on computer screen after exposure (no developing, no chemicals) - Results in real time / on-site; repairs can be marked during inspection and inspection can be extended based on results - Images can be shared, for example via email - Images can be stored to a database with reference information (such as photographs of location) - Measurements can be made in images and saved with images - Image processing (window leveling, sharpening, high pass filtering, magnifying) - Large dynamic range (large wall thickness differences with one exposure) - Exposure times shorter compared to traditional film technique - Reduced safety areas with low dose pulsed x-ray equipment
