Scheduling 2012 -2013 Monday: Homeroom teacher will give you scheduling information. You may begin working on your schedule today. Mon. - Thurs. : Complete schedule cards and IGP. Counselors will be available to answers questions during both lunches. Wed-Thurs. : Counselors will begin collecting completed schedule cards and IGPs. Both must be signed by parents. You will receive a ticket to wear sweatpants on Friday if you turn in your scheduling information on time. The class with the highest percentage turned in will receive a pizza party after the Mardi Gras holidays. Please turn in your card even if you still have questions.

Core 4 � � � All students will be required to follow the Louisiana Core 4 curriculum for at least the first two years of high school. 21 Required Credits � 4 English � 4 Math � 4 Science � 4 Social Studies � 2 Foreign Language or Speech � 1 Art � 1 ½ Physical Education or JROTC* � ½ Health 3 Electives Total = 24 credits to graduate Students currently in 9 th or 10 th may substitute JROTC I and JROTC II for PE and Health requirements. Students will be required to pass state exit exams. This requirement is in addition to the required number of credits.

IGP and Endorsements � The IGP is required of all students. Students pick a Career Cluster that interests them, and that choice guides their course selections throughout high school. Along the way, students fulfill the requirements for graduation, and may look into completing additional coursework for TOPS (a scholarship that helps pay for college) and for Academic or Career/Technical Endorsements.
