History DESEIN PRIVATE LTD. was founded in 1965 by late Mr. O. P. Gupta, an eminent power engineer & entrepreneur. The company was started with a small group of 3 engineers with a mission to provide good quality engineering consultancy services. Today, it has core competency in all infrastructure projects covering all disciplines of engineering, viz. , civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, chemical, environmental, controls & instrumentation. The founder's mission to achieve "Self Reliance in Engineering" has already become a reality and the company has widened its core competency from power plant engineering to providing "Design Services for Infrastructure".

We are a leading ‘Engineering Consultancy Organization’ with over 30, 000 MW of experience in setting up coal/lignite fired power plants as well as gas based simple & combined cycle power plants with unit sizes ranging upto 800 MW which is the largest size single unit of supercritical technology currently under implementation in India. DESEIN is also a service provider for operation & maintenance of power plants in India & abroad for the past three decades. It has provided such services for many power plants in the past and at present 8 complete power plants and are being operated & maintained by our team of trained & experienced personnel to the complete satisfaction of our clients.

Manpower We are a team of over 2000 people comprising more than 500 power engineers. Over 40% of the engineers have greater than 15 years of experience in the power sector. Our team has over 20 million man-hours of experience in engineering, construction and operation & maintenance of power plants in India and abroad.
