LOETSCHBERG BASE TUNNEL (CH) § § Construction of an alpine rail link § A provisional phase of the works was commissioned in 2007 with the works only being partially completed § On behalf of the BLS railway company, a group of engineering firms, including BG, developed the scheme design in order to calculate the completion costs. The consortium is also in charge of the studies, the construction management and supervision of the future development of the tunnel. ©TELT LYON – TURIN (F/IT) § BG has been involved in the Lyon–Turin Transalpine high-speed railway venture since the very beginning. § After having managed and coordinated for nearly 10 years the studies for the elaboration of a Reference Project finalized for the entire international section, BG, with its partners from the GEIE ALLTI consortium, is in charge of the project management of the base tunnel between the foot of the Villarodin-Bourget/Modane ramp and Italy. § The mandate covers project studies, the production of company consultation documents, assistance with the works contract and the management of the works and their acceptance.
