SOCRATIC SEMINAR ASSESSMENT • Look through your DIDLS journals from the past seven weeks. • Create five questions that you would like to discuss during the Socratic Seminar that will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2020. • Use evidence (quotes, quotations, examples, anecdotes) from Marie Arana’s American Chica as a springboard for each of your questions. • Also, write an essay on the following topic: • TOPIC: Reflecting upon Arana’s memoir: Considering the obstacles Arana faced throughout her bicultural childhood, was she given equal access to strive for the American Dream? • This Socratic Seminar will count as a test grade. • Worth: 200 points
