Waarom publiceren in high IF journal ► Prestige: § De JIF bepaalt niet de invloed of kwaliteit van een individueel artikel, en zelfs niet direct de kwaliteit van een tijdschrift. Het bepaalt wel het prestige en de invloed van een tijdschrift. Hoe toonaangevender een tijdschrift, des te hoger meestal de kwaliteitseisen, dus indirect kan het wel iets zeggen over de kwaliteit van een artikel.
