What is Alliteration? • Repeated consonant sounds occurring at the beginning of words or within words. Example: She was wide-eyed and wondering while she waited for Walter to waken.
Let’s read some examples… • Remember to look for initial sound similarities.
An ant ate an apple.
Bees buzz by the barn.
The cat curled up on the couch.
Danny dislikes dangerous dogs.
Edger eats eggs everyday.
Flying fish foiled the four fisherman.
The geese gave gifts to Grant.
Harry has a horse and a hat.
Isaac is eating interesting ice cream.
The jaguars eat jam in the jungle.
