What is the purpose of Demonstrative adjectives? - Demonstrative adjectives describes the location of a NOUN in relation to a person. - Demonstrative adjectives in English are “This” “That” and “That over there” - For example: This book, that chair, that table over there - When we say “This, ” we are implying that the object is relatively close to the person speaking. - When we say “that, ” we are implying that the object is a bit further away from the person speaking. - When we say “that over there” we are implying that the object may be some distance, across the room, perhaps from the person speaking.
