Four Standards The Accreditation Standards are organized as follows: �Standard I—Mission, Academic Quality and Institutional Effectiveness, and Integrity, which is organized around these themes: Institutional Mission (I. A), Academic Quality and Institutional Effectiveness (I. B), and Institutional Integrity (I. C). � Standard II—Student Learning Programs and Services, which is organized around these themes: Instructional Programs (II. A), Library and Learning Support Services (II. B), and Student Support Services (II. C). � Standard III—Resources, which is organized around these themes: Human Resources (III. A), Physical Resources (III. B), Technology Resources (III. C), and Financial Resources (III. D). � Standard IV—Leadership and Governance, which is organized around these themes: Decision-Making Roles and Processes (IV. A), Chief Executive Officer (IV. B), Governing Board (IV. C), and Multi-College Districts or Systems (IV. D).

Purpose of Accreditation provides an opportunity for reflection and deep thinking about an institution’s current conditions and future directions an opportunity for an institution to highlight achievements to date and its future goals. the accreditation process can be used to inspire ongoing attention to institutional self-reflection and the desire for continuous improvement. The accreditation cycle of self-evaluation allows the institution to conduct an indepth and comprehensive examination of the quality of its programs and services and its institutional effectiveness in support of student success. The self-evaluation process provides an opportunity for the institutional leadership to take stock of the quality and processes for continuous improvement of the institution in cooperation with college stakeholders.

Visit of the ACCJC Peer Review Team Occurs on March 1 through 4, 2020 Will be conducted virtually Led by Dr. Pam Luster, President of San Diego Mesa College Community Forum President receives preliminary report on visit to ascertain errors of fact on the visit First and last day of visit Team doesn’t make a decision on accreditation status – made by the Commission based on team’s recommendation and Commission’s assessment of the ISER College will be informed of results of visit and college’s accreditation status after ACCJC June 2020 meeting
