3 V SIGMA STORY 1956 3 V story begins in Italy with a small surfactant production for textile industry 1960 -1970 Portfolio grew to include additives for the paper and detergent industries. The OPTIBLANC product series was launched 1970 -1980 Sigma expands its presence beyond Italy. Commercial subsidiaries were established in Europe and in 1978 the American adventure began with a chemical plant in Georgetown (SC) 1980 -1990 3 V started manufacturing additives for the Plastic, Water treatment and PVC industries. The UVASORB, POLIVIC and OXIDAN brands were lunched 1990 -2000 New technology developed to manufacture acrylic based polymers. The NOVAPRINT, POLYGEL and SYNTHALEN product lines are launched allowing 3 V to expand its presence in the detergent and textile printing industries and to enter the Personal Care market 2000 -2010 3 V Sigma enters the building and construction industry with the NIMEXOL product series and is organized in a 3 branches group
