POSITIONS AND ROLES • Current student leaders were asked to rank the Top 3 most important parts of their job. This is what they said: • 1. Creating a safe, friendly environment for residents • 2. Facilitation of growth both academically and socially • 3. Availability for mentorship opportunities and being a role model

ACADEMIC OUTREACH COORDINATOR • AOCs are responsible for hall wide and specific community programming

ACADEMIC OUTREACH COORDINATOR • AOCs are responsible for hall wide and specific community programming which focuses on academics, education, and social aspects of student life within our themed hall communities • AOCs are located in MUNDO, PATH, and Stonewall • AOCs have a passion for specific community programming and academic success.

PROGRAM COORDINATOR • Program Coordinators are responsible for hall-wide programming that focuses on academics,

PROGRAM COORDINATOR • Program Coordinators are responsible for hall-wide programming that focuses on academics, education, and social aspects of student life. • PCs also coordinate large-scale programs that include Welcome Week, Monte Carlo, and underground. • PCs coordinate programs within the residence halls and campus apartments.

RESIDENT ADVISOR • Resident Advisors are responsible for maintaining a hall/area by programming, peer

RESIDENT ADVISOR • Resident Advisors are responsible for maintaining a hall/area by programming, peer mentoring, addressing policy violations, and serving students with on-call emergency response • Community building, peer mediation/consultation, small-scale programming • This position is open for the campus apartments, family housing, and residence halls.

DEPARTMENTAL EXPECTATIONS • Role modeling • Being accessible to the community • Schedule flexibility • Confidentiality • Ability to promote a diverse and inclusive environment • Student staff have to be in good academic standing • Must be a full time student and enrolled in 12 units undergrad, 8 units grad • Must maintain a quarterly GPA of 2. 0 and a cumulative GPA of 2. 5 • You need to maintain this academic standard to accept a position if offered one at the end of this selection process

COMPENSATION • Great work experience! • Monthly Stipend (paid bi-weekly) • $100 (1 st

COMPENSATION • Great work experience! • Monthly Stipend (paid bi-weekly) • $100 (1 st year) • $150 (2 nd year) • $175 (subsequent years) • Room and Board in a residential community • Campus Apartment RAs receive an apartment • Residential hall RAs, AOCs, and PCs receive a room

SELECTION PROCESS • Phase 1: Application • The application will be on ucr. erezlife.

SELECTION PROCESS • Phase 1: Application • The application will be on ucr. erezlife. com starting November 6 th • Phase 2: Interview • An email will be sent out in January indicating if you have made it to the interview stage. • Interviews will take place between January 22 - January 26 • Phase 3: Leadership Seminar • An email will be sent out at the end of January indicating if you have made it to the leadership seminar stage • This course is meant to develop personal growth as well as give us an opportunity to evaluate candidates • Phase 4: Student Staff Position Offers • Position offer letters and all other final notifications will be sent via email by the end of March
