Methought I Saw my Late Espoused Saint Metought I saw my late espoused saint 나는 얼마 전에 죽은 성녀와 같은 아내가 Brought to me, like Alcestis, from the grave, 무덤에서 내게로 오는 것 같이 느꼈다. Whom Jove’s great son to her glad husband gave, 창백하고 빼빼 마른 그의 모습은, 헤라클래스 의 힘으로 Rescued from death by force, though pale and faint. 죽음의 세계에서 남편에게 돌아온 알세스티 스의 모습 같았다. Mine, as whom washed from spot of childbed taint, Purification in the old Law did save, And such, as yet once more I trust to have Full sight of her in Heaven without restraint, 내 아내는 산후의 부정함이 정결하게 된 옛 율법 그대로 정결의 날을 지낸 여자 같았고, 또한 천국에 서 다시금 만나는 날에 내가 거침없이 그 얼굴도 보아도 탓하지 않는 온화한 여인처럼 보였다.
