What is worship? • “These people honour me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. they worship me in vain, their teachings are but rules made by men” Matt. 15 v 8 • “. . offer your bodies as living sacrifices holy and pleasing to God, - which is your spiritual worship” Roms. 12 v 1

Is this possible today? ? • “The Lord saw how great man’s wickedness on the earth had become…. every inclination …. was only evil all the time” Gen. 6 v 5 • “But Noah found favour in the eyes of the Lord” Gen 6 v 8 WHY? ? • Look at 2 Peter 2 v 5 “. . A preacher of righteousness…”

What is the secret? • PERSONAL SURRENDER! • Mary “ I am the Lord’s servant” Luke 2 v 38 • Paul “I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die… for the name of the Lord Jesus” Acts 21 v 13 • The supreme example – Our Lord Jesus – “ Not my will but yours…. ” •

Friends……. • Moses & Abraham are called friends of God Exodus 33 v 16. Isaiah 41 v 8 • Jesus says “ I no longer call you servants, . . instead I have called you friends” Jn 15 v 15. and 21 v 15 etc. • Be honest and frank with God – He already knows the truth about us!
