Routines for the Day Children to be with an adult until 8: 45. A

Routines for the Day Children to be with an adult until 8: 45. A TA will be by the door if you have any questions or want to pass on information. Children leave through outside classroom door where parents and carers should wait. Please let us know if there any special arrangements or children are going to be collect by someone else. If your child is absent from school please let the office know. Let us know about medicines, glasses or particular needs. Please let us know if you have any concerns.

Reading, Spelling and Handwriting Please share books with your children We will be reading

Reading, Spelling and Handwriting Please share books with your children We will be reading with your child every week and signing reading records. At school they will be reading at a higher level (Guided Reading). Spelling will be taught 2 -3 times/week Handwriting

Home Learning In year three there will be weekly home learning set on a

Home Learning In year three there will be weekly home learning set on a Friday. This will include a piece of work that should be completed in no more than one hour and handed in on a Wednesday. There will also be times tables and spellings to learn linked to the learning from the previous week. A test will take place for these each Wednesday.

Rewards and Sanctions Whole school reward systems include Oak leaves. Whole School Charter – we are a Rights, Respecting School (RRS). This creates an ethos which raises achievement and participation, has a positive effect on attitudes and global awareness and creates a more inclusive, caring school atmosphere. Classroom Agreement produced by each class based on Rights and Responsibilities. Children are rewarded for good behaviour through Hero points and Class Crystals. Zero tolerance for hurting – resulting in loss of lunchtime

PE and Games on Tuesday and P. E. on Wednesday for both classes. In
