Opening Hymn: 162 Ye choirs of new Jerusalem (vs 1, 2, 4, 5, 6)
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. All Amen. The Lord be with you and also with you. Let us pray All Almighty God, to whom all hearts are open, all desires known, and from whom no secrets are hidden: cleanse thoughts of our hearts by the inspiration of your Holy Spirit, that we may perfectly love you, and worthily magnify your holy name; through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Summary of the Law Our Lord Jesus Christ said: The first commandment is this: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God is the only Lord; You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. ’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself. ’ There is no other commandment greater than these. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. All Amen. Lord, have mercy.

The Collect LORD of all power and might, you are the author and giver of all good things: Graft in our hearts the love of your Name, increase in us true religion, nourish us with all goodness, and of your great mercy keep us in the same; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
New Testament Reading: I Corinthians 10: 1 -13 For I want you to know, brothers, that our fathers were all under the cloud, and all passed through the sea, and all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea, and all ate the same spiritual food, and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank from the spiritual Rock that followed them, and the Rock was Christ. Nevertheless, with most of them God was not pleased, for they were overthrown in the wilderness. Now these things took place as examples for us, that we might not desire evil as they did. Do not be idolaters as some of them were; as it is written, “The people sat down to eat and drink and rose up to play. ” We must not indulge in sexual immorality as some of them did, and twenty-three thousand fell in a single day. We must not put Christ to the test, as some of them did and were destroyed by serpents, nor grumble, as some of them did and were destroyed by the Destroyer. Now these things happened to them as an example, but they were written down for our instruction, on whom the end of
Therefore let anyone who thinks that he stands take heed lest he fall. No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. This is the word of the Lord. Thanks be to God.
Psalm 95 (read responsively by the verse) 1. Oh come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! 2. Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise! 3. For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods. 4. In his hand are the depths of the earth; the heights of the mountains are his also. 5. The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land. 6. Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker! 7. For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. 8. Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts, as at Meribah, as on the day at Massah in the wilderness, Continued…

For forty years I loathed that generation and said, “They are a people who go astray in their heart, and they have not known my ways. ” 11. Therefore I swore in my wrath, “They shall not enter my rest. ” Glory be to the Father ‘ and to the ‘ Son : and ‘ to the ‘ Holy ‘ Ghost; As it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be : world without ‘ end. The Gospel: St Luke 16: 1 -9 When the Gospel is announced, the priest says, Hear the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ according to St Luke. Glory to you, O Lord He also said to the disciples, “There was a rich man who had a manager, and charges were brought to him that this man wasting his possessions. And he called him and said to him, ‘What is that I hear about you? Turn in the account of your management, for you can no longer be manager. ’ And the manager said to himself, ‘What shall I do, since my master is taking the management away from me? I am not strong enough to dig, and I am ashamed to beg. I have decided what to do, so that when I am removed from management, people may receive me into their houses. ’ So, summoning his master's debtors one by one, he said to the first, ‘How much do you owe my master? ’ He said, ‘A hundred measures of oil. ’ He said to him, ‘Take your bill, and sit down quickly and write fifty. ’ Continued…
Then he said to another, ‘And how much do you owe? ’ He said, ‘A hundred measures of wheat. ’ He said to him, ‘Take your bill, and write eighty. ’ The master commended the dishonest manager for his shrewdness. For the sons of this world are more shrewd in dealing with their own generation than the sons of light. And I tell you, make friends for yourselves by means of unrighteous wealth, so that when it fails they may receive you into the eternal dwellings. This is the Gospel of the Lord All Sermon Praise to you, O Christ
We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father; through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven, was incarnate from the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary and was made man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is worshipped and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets. We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen. Prayers of Intercession (we kneel or sit) The intercessor prays: Lord, in your mercy We respond: Hear our prayer And at the end: Merciful Father We all say: accept these prayers for the sake of your Son our Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.
Confession and Absolution Priest God so loved the world that he gave his only Son Jesus Christ to save us from our sins, to be our advocate in heaven, and to bring us to eternal life. Let us confess our sins in penitence and faith, firmly resolved to keep God’s commandments and to live in love and peace with all. All Almighty God, our heavenly Father, Silence is kept we have sinned against you and against our neighbour in thought and word and deed, through negligence, through weakness, through our own deliberate fault. We are truly sorry and repent of all our sins. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, who died for us, forgive us all that is past and grant that we may serve you in newness of life to the glory of your name. Amen.
The priest says Almighty God, who forgives all who truly repent, have mercy upon you, pardon and deliver you from all your sins, confirm and strengthen you in all goodness, and keep you in life eternal; through Jesus Christ our Lord. All Amen. The Peace (we stand) The peace of the Lord be always with you. All and also with you. All may exchange a sign of peace.

411 Dear Lord and Father of mankind
Eucharistic Prayer The Lord be with you. All And also with you. Lift up your hearts. All We lift them to the Lord. Let us give thanks to the Lord our God. All It is right to give thanks and praise. It is indeed right, it is our duty and our joy, at all times and in all places to give you thanks and praise, holy Father, heavenly King, almighty and eternal God, through Jesus Christ our Lord. For he is our great high priest, who has loosed us from our sins and has made us to be a royal priesthood to you, our God and Father. Therefore with angels and archangels, and with all the company of heaven, we proclaim your great and glorious name,
Sanctus and Benedictus Holy, holy, ho-ly Lord, God of power and might, hea-ven and earth are full of your glo-ry. Ho -san-na in the high– est! Bless- ed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, Ho- san-na in the high–est!
All glory be to you, our heavenly Father, who, in your tender mercy, gave your only Son our Saviour Jesus Christ to suffer death upon the cross for our redemption; who made there by his one oblation of himself once offered a full, perfect and sufficient sacrifice, oblation and satisfaction for the sins of the whole world; he instituted, and in his holy gospel commanded us to continue, a perpetual memory of his precious death until he comes again. Hear us, merciful Father, we humbly pray, and grant that, by the power of your Holy Spirit, we receiving these gifts of your creation, this bread and this wine, according to your Son our Saviour Jesus Christ’s holy institution, in remembrance of his death and passion, may be partakers of his most blessed body and blood;
who, in the same night that he was betrayed, took bread and gave you thanks; he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying: Take, eat; this is my body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of me. In the same way, after supper he took the cup and gave you thanks; he gave it to them, saying: Drink this, all of you; this is my blood of the new covenant, which is shed for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me. Great is the mystery of faith: Christ has died: Christ is risen: Christ will come again.
Therefore, Lord and heavenly Father, in remembrance of the precious death and passion, the mighty resurrection and glorious ascension of your dear Son Jesus Christ, we offer you through him this our sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving. Grant that by his merits and death, and through faith in his blood, we and all your Church may receive forgiveness of our sins and all other benefits of his passion. Although we are unworthy, through our manifold sins, to offer you any sacrifice, yet we pray that you will accept this the duty and service that we owe. Do not weigh our merits, but pardon our offences, and fill us all who share in this holy communion with your grace and heavenly blessing; through Jesus Christ our Lord, by whom, and with whom, and in whom, [Silence is kept] in the unity of the Holy Spirit, all honour and glory be yours, almighty Father,
The Lord’s Prayer Let us pray All Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done; on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen.
Agnus Dei Lamb of God, you take away the sin of the world, have mer - cy on us. Lamb of God, you take a-way the sin of the world, have mer - cy on us. Lamb of God, you take a-way the sin of the world, grant us peace.
Prayer of Humble Access All We do not presume to come to this your table, O merciful Lord, trusting in our own righteousness, but in your manifold and great mercies. We are not worthy so much as to gather up the crumbs under your table. But you are the same Lord whose nature is always to have mercy. Grant us therefore, gracious Lord, so to eat the flesh of your dear Son Jesus Christ and to drink his blood, that our sinful bodies may be made clean by his body and our souls washed through his most precious blood, and that we may evermore dwell in him, and he in us. Amen.
The Administration of Communion An Act of Spiritual Communion My Jesus, I believe that You offer yourself to us in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come spiritually into my heart.
