THEN & NOW - The CMS Anglican Church is considered an icon of endurance,

THEN & NOW - The CMS Anglican Church is considered an icon of endurance, humanity, and goodwill. - The initiation period of Church Mission Society (CMS) dates far way back in the 18 th century (1818) by missionaries from England. - As per the CMS archive, since 1868 for a decade-long, the mission activities were initiated and controlled from Kottayam, Kerala. In the year 1878 The CMS Kottayam Diocese was constituted. - The subsequent 65 years (1879 -1944) saw Bishops from England as institution heads. - In 1945 the missionaries moved back to England after handing over the reins of authority to the Indian Bishop CK Jacob. - May 1966 saw the new dawn, CMS transformed into “The CMS Anglican Church - Travancore & Cochin Diocese” under the leadership of Rt. Rev. V. J. Steaphen. - Since then many new initiatives were introduced for the betterment of humanity. - Rt. Rev. David Lukose Varakukalayil heads the institution as on date and under his dynamic leadership, the body has continued to evolve and achieve newer milestones.

INSTITUTION HEADS PRE- INDEPENDENCE ERA 1879 - 1944 The subsequent 65 years (1879 -1944) after the CMS Kottayam Diocese was constituted in 1878, the institution witnessed five eminent Bishops from England as heads. Our approach enables the deprived class to progress and make set careers through various literacy programs and professional courses. The panel of educationists and consultants on board here continuously work on a holistic approach that includes career guidance, newer courses, and scholarship programs. At Bishop’s House we believe in equal opportunity and, is averse to any talent or aspiration going unnoticed due to economic disability.
