Action Items for Sophomore and Junior Year in High School l l l Browse college catalogues, websites and attend college fairs Start making a list of colleges you would like to attend (keep in mind your GPA, etc. ), eventually narrow it down to 3 -6 Talk with your counselor about taking challenging courses in your junior and senior year to stay competitive (take all core classes every year in high school!) Research financial aid sources and scholarships through summer Talk as a family about what is affordable Take the SAT/ACT—twice is nice Visit colleges over spring break and this summer
