Student Services 2016 -17 Outcomes & Achievements Increased Outreach, Access, and Student Engagement • Oct. 2016: WCC awarded $1. 2 million Educational Talent Search Grant targeted to HS’s in Woodland Colusa o Pioneer HS, Lee Jr HS, Pierce HS, Williams HS, Lloyd G. Johnson Jr HS, Maxwell Elementary School (6 th-8 th graders), and Maxwell HS. • Continued student engagement activities: Welcome Weeks, Fall Fest, Winter Fest, and Spring Fest and added Grad. Fest and Grad Week, and special workshops (Know Your Rights for undocumented students & families) • Financial Aid launched the new online WCC Financial Aid Counseling Center tool at https: //wcc. getcounseling. com/and FA TV https: //wcc. financialaidtv. com/ as resources for students • Financial Aid began campus workshops to increase understanding and awareness of FA

Student Services 2016 -17 Outcomes & Achievements Increased Outreach, Access, and Student Engagement • Spanish-Speaking Parent Outreach: WCC partnered with EAOP form UC Davis on the Caminos a la Universidad program to provide information about college to Spanish-speaking parents in the community through monthly workshops.

Student Services 2016 -17 Outcomes & Achievements New Student Orientation & Jump. Start • New online orientation (expected fall 2017) • Increased Jump. Start participation: o 2015: 155 o 2016: 167 o 2017: 189 (+51 registered, but could not attend) • Jump. Start student feedback: o 84% of students indicated they feel prepared to start college after attending the orientation, with 88% finding the Student Ambassador-led campus tours helpful, and 84% indicating the ed planning sessions to select courses were “extremely helpful” and “very helpful. ”

Student Services 2016 -17 Outcomes & Achievements Increased Access and Support: • EOPS/CARE increased program participants from 228 in 2015 -16 to 515 in 2016 -17 • TRIO served 285 students and ETS served 222 students in 2016 -17 • DSPS served 372 students • Financial Aid Office administered 4, 187 BOG Fee Waivers applications and so far, 2, 556 for 17/18 • WCC received a $219, 000 increase in SSSP funded due to increased service levels (counseling, ed plans, orientations, assessments) for 2016 -17

Johnson grant to launch new Guardian Pathways to Success program for Foster Youth • WCC was awarded a $12, 000 Sunrise Rotary grant in December 2016 to launch new Food Pantry for fall 2017
