Problem Based Learning • Instead of large lectures: small groups • 12 -14 students & tutor (coaches the group) • 2 x 2 hours per week “group meeting” • Chair person & secretary • Only supporting lectures • Skills-trainings Faculty of Law 9
Problem Based Learning • Students work together in small groups to tackle the subject matter which is offered in the form of real life problems from the field of study. • In this method of instruction active participation of students is absolutely essential. It is not only expected by the tutor or professor, but also by your fellow students. And active participation also implies that you are required to attend all group meetings. • Credits: 1 US credit = 2 ECTS • Grading is on a scale of 10 Faculty of Law 10
