Emil Brunner 와 Karl Barth 의 관계론적 견해 (1) The image of God and human nature are best understood through a study of the person of Jesus Christ. 예수님이 누구 신가를 이해하는 것이 하나님의 형상과 인성 에 대한 이해의 첩경이다. (2) We obtain our understanding of the image from the divine revelation. 이 길은 하나님의 계시에 있다.

(3) The image of God is not to be understood in terms of any structural qualities within humanity. The image is a matter of one's relationship to God. 하나님 의 형상은 인간에 내재하는 구조적인 것으로 이해하기보다는 하나님과 인간의 관계에 관련 된 것이다. l (4) The relationship of humans to God is paralleled by the relationship of one human to another; e. g. male-female or society. 인간과 하나님과의 관계는 인간간의 관계와 비례된다.

(5) The image of God is universal; it is found in all humans at all times and places. 하나님의 형상은 누구에게나 시대와 장소를 불문하고 발견된다. l (6) No conclusion is made about whether any quality in humanity may be necessary to have such a relationship. 인간안에 내재 하는 어떤 질적요소가 이러한 관계형성에 필 수적인지에 대해서는 두 사람 공히 결론을 내 리지 않았다.

Conclusions regarding the Nature of the Image 하나님의 형상의 속성에 대한 6가지 결론 (175 -176)

(1) 공통성 l The image of God is universal within the human race. 하나님의 형상은 모든 인류에게 공통된 것이다. (2) 상존성 l The image of God has not been lost as a result of the fall. 아담과 이브의 범죄의 결과에도 불구 하고 하나님의 형상은 인간에게 상존한다. (3) 보편성 l The image of God is not quantitative. No one has more or less image than others. 하나님의 형상은 양적으로 측정되는 것이 아니다.

Why does God make man in His Image? 하나님이 인간을 자신의 형상으로 만든 목 적? The person and work of Jesus is the perfect example of what human nature is intended to be. 열쇠는 온전한 하나님의 형상이신 예수님의 인격과 사역에 있다.

(1) 교제 l Jesus had perfect fellowship with the Father. 하나님 아버지와의 완전한 교제. (2) 순종 l Jesus obeyed the Father's will perfectly. 하나님 아버지의 뜻을 온전 히 순종. (3) 사랑 l Jesus always displayed a strong love for humans. 강한 인류애.

Implications of the Doctrine of "the Image of God" 하나 님의 형상이 우리에게 주는 6 가지 의미 (176 -178)

(4) 다스리는 존재 l The exercise of dominion is a consequence of the image of God. (5) 가장 고귀한 존재 l The human is the most valuable being in the creation. (6) 모든 인간이 고귀하다. l The image is universal in mankind. Every human being is created in God’s image.

An Alternative Model : Conditional Unity 에릭슨의 조건부 일원론

(1) 구약의 일원론적 사고 l In the OT, the human individual is regarded as a unity. l The spiritual nature of humans cannot be addressed apart from the body. 인간의 영 성은 육신을 떠나서는 고려될 수 없다. (2) 분리적인 요소 l Some Bible passages point to an immaterial aspect of human beings which is separable from their material existence. 성경을 보면 일부 구절에 인간의 육신적 요소 와 비육신적 요소가 분리될 수 있다고 언급하 고 있다.

(3) 분리의 한시성 l The separation from the body after physical death is only a temporary condition which will be restored at the time of resurrection. 인간의 사망 시 닥쳐오는 육신과 영혼의 분리는 한시 적인 것이다. 이는 마지막날 부활시 하 나로 다시 합쳐진다.

Implications of Conditional Unity 조건부 일원론의 5가지 의미 (1) Each human is to be treated as a unity. 모든 인간은 하나의 통일된 개체로 취급되어 야 한다. (2) Humans are complex being. 인간은 단순 한 존재가 아니다. (3) The different aspects of human nature all to be attended to and respected. 인 간의 세 가지 측면 모두가 우리가 주의를 기울 이고 존중해야 하는 것이다.

(4) Religious maturity does not consist in subjugating one part of human nature to another. 이 세 가지 측면 중 어느 일부분을 다른 부분 에 종속시킨다는 것이 영성을 나타내는 것은 아니다. (5) Human nature is not inconsistent with the scriptural teaching of a personal conscious existence between death and resurrection. 성경에는 인간이 사망과 부활사이에 존재한다 고 가르치고 있는 바, 이것이 조건부 일원론과 상치되는 것은 아니다.
