Temptation is Personal vs. 14 a 14 but each one is tempted
Temptation Follows a Process vss. 14 -15 It begins with Desire It leads to Deception It results in Disobedience It ends in Death
It Begins with Desire vs. 14 b when, by his own evil desire,
It Leads to Deception vs. 14 c he is dragged away and enticed.
It Results in Disobedience vs. 15 a 15 Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin;
It Ends in Death vs. 15 b and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death. Temptation Can Be Overcome vss. 16 -18 Don’t Be Deceived vs. 16 16 Don’t be deceived, my dear brothers.
Revel in the Goodness of God vs. 17 17 Every good and perfect gift is from above,
Revel in the Goodness of God vs. 17 1 Corinthians 10: 13 No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.
