After World War II, Pres. Uchtdorf’s grandmother was standing in line waiting to get food when an elderly single LDS sister invited his grandmother to attend sacrament meeting. His grandmother and his parents accepted the invitation. They went to church, felt the Spirit, and joined the Church when Pres. Uchtdorf was 6 years old. Pres.
