REVISED ASSESSMENT PATTERN * A diagnostic assessment plan has been designed so that every student achieves the minimum learning outcomes as outlined by NCERT and CBSE. * As the focus is on competency based learning , the assessment pattern has been redesigned to help students to delve deep into the concepts * All assessments are designed to suit and facilitate the online teaching learning process

1. ATTENDANCE * Every Subject will be marked individually for attendance. * Following is the marking criteria for attendance ATTENDANCE PERCENTAGE MARKS 95% - 100% 5 marks 90% - 94% 4 marks 85% - 89% 3 marks 80% - 84% 2 marks 75% - 79% 1 mark Below 75% 0 mark

2. SUBMISSION OF WORK (PORTFOLIO) * The students will be given class as well as home assignments from time to time. * Students should work independently and submit work on time. * Use creative digital portfolios for compiling their work subject wise. * Following are the parameters for assessing submission of work through the portfolio: CRITERIA MARKS Timely submission 1 mark Presentation of work 2 marks Quality of work 2 marks

PORTFOLIO It is the collection of evidence of a student’s work over a period of time. It could be day-to-day work or selection of the learner’s best piece of work. It may include ● ● ● ● ● Photographs of their work Certificates of Merit/ Achievements Art integration activity work Audio-Video Recordings (CD) Self Assessment Sheets Peer Assessment Sheets Teacher Assessment Sheets Any kind of Literary work Interests and hobbies Write up on social work done by the student STUDENTS TO COMPILE WORK OF ALL SUBJECTS IN ONE PORTFOLIO UNDER DIFFERENT HEADINGS

3. CLASS PARTICIPATION * The students are expected to be attentive in class and participate in the class activities. * Students will be assessed for each subject individually * Students will be assessed on their participation as per the following parameters: CRITERIA MARKS Oral Questioning , Discussions , Debates , Presentations, Group activities or any other activity as per the subject 05 marks Written assessments ( details on the next slide) 05 marks

3. 1 CLASS PARTICIPATION Written Assessments * Teachers will conduct 8 – 10 assessments during the class, each not more than 5 marks. * The best 5 will then be selected to consolidate the marks out of 5 for the written component of the Class Participation. * These written tests will be in the form of Quizzes, MCQ , One Mark Questions , Case study based questions etc. all conducted during the class time only. * In case a student is not able to appear for any particular assessment due to medical reason, a medical certificate should be sent to the teacher the very next day. Student will be given average marks in that case for that particular assessment.

4. ART INTEGRATED LEARNING * As per the new circular by CBSE on Art Integration - Every student needs to do one Art Integrated Activity per subject. * Students will be given assignments in every subject, integrating art in their learning. Art form suggested by CBSE can be Visual or Performing Art.

5. PRACTICAL AND VIVA ● With the possibility of reopening of schools remaining distant as of now, the teachers have devised a plan to conduct Practicals in their subjects on online mode. ● The theory of the Practicals was already being explained to the students. Students will have to register on Olabs for science practicals and make use of this platform created by Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. ● Teachers will be asking questions based on the practicals conducted / projects assigned. ● For Other than that teachers are using features and extensions on Google classroom, padlet links, preparing menus on nutritional values are being done on online mode. Teachers will also train students on Viva to prepare them from the examination point of view.

6. WEEKLY ASSESSMENTS * Weekly tests will be conducted using the online platform on every Friday , starting from Friday, 14 August 2020. * It will be conducted between 8 am and 8: 45 am on the scheduled days. Schedule for the same will be shared with students through the google groups. * It is mandatory for students to appear for the exam. * Students should appear for these exams with complete honesty. Any unfair practice identified by the school will result in the student to be marked Zero. * In case a student is not able to appear for any particular assessment due to medical reason, a medical certificate should be sent to the teacher the very next day. Student will be given average marks in that case for that particular assessment.

RATIONALE FOR ASSESSMENTS * Since thrust will be more on competency-based learning a opposed to traditional rote learning, the assessments will be devised on higher-order thinking skills of creativity and critical thinking and not merely understanding and knowledge. * The assessments will be continuous and will continue till September 2020. * The report card, prepared on the basis of the assessment pattern will be shared with Parents through the Parent Portal in the last week of September.

RATIONALISATION OF SYLLABUS * CBSE has rationalized the syllabus for this session(2020 -21). The teachers have informed the students about the same. * Though some topics/chapters have been deleted, the teachers will touch upon them to maintain continuity between topics. They may also give assignments on the same. The assignments, however will have no bearing on their marks. * There could be some confusion regarding topics that have been covered and now have been deleted by CBSE. Teachers will guide the students regarding the same. * You may check the CBSE website ( www. cbseacademics. in) for details.

PROMOTION POLICY ● In order to be declared as having passed class XII Examination, a student must obtain a minimum of 33% marks in BOTH the Practical / Project AND the Year End examination conducted by CBSE separately and in each of the five subjects individually. ● If a student scores less than 33% in one subject, it will be considered as compartment, and he/she will have to write the compartment exam conducted by CBSE and score above 33% in it for passing class XII ● If a student scores less than 33% in two or more subjects, he/she will be considered detained in class XII.
