CLASS PARTICIPATION * The students are expected to be attentive in class and participate in the class activities. * Students will be assessed for each subject individually * Students will be assessed on their participation as per the following parameters: CRITERIA MARKS Oral Questioning , Discussions , Debates , Presentations, Group activities or any other activity as per the subject 05 marks Written assessments ( details on the next slide) 05 marks

3. 1 CLASS PARTICIPATION Written Assessments * Teachers will conduct 8 – 10 assessments during the class, each not more than 5 marks. * The best 5 will then be selected to consolidate the marks out of 5 for the written component of the Class Participation. * These written tests will be in the form of Quizzes, MCQ , One Mark Questions , Case study based questions etc. all conducted during the class time only. * In case a student is not able to appear for any particular assessment due to medical reason, a medical certificate should be sent to the teacher the very next day. Student will be given average marks in that case for that particular assessment.

Students are expected to work on a project as assigned by the teacher and integrate any form of Visual or Performing Art in the subject. * Besides Art Integration Project , teachers will also be conducting Art Integration Activities as part of Subject Enrichment Activity and students will be marked on the same. * Following will be the parameters of assessments: CRITERIA MARKS Art Integration Project 4 marks Holiday Homework 3 marks Art Integration Activity 3 marks

Schedule for the same will be shared with students through the google groups. * It is mandatory for students to appear for the exam. * Students should appear for these exams with complete honesty. Any unfair practice identified by the school will result in the student to be marked Zero. * In case a student is not able to appear for any particular assessment due to medical reason, a medical certificate should be sent to the teacher the very next day. DURATION OF ASSESSMENTS * Since thrust will be more on competency-based learning as opposed to traditional rote learning, the assessments will be devised on higher-order thinking skills of creativity and critical thinking and not merely understanding and knowledge. * The assessments will be continuous and will continue till September 2020. * The report card, prepared on the basis of the assessment pattern will be shared with Parents through the Parent Portal in the last week of September. * CBSE will be rationalizing the syllabus for this session(2020 -21). PROMOTION POLICY ● In order to be declared as having passed class X Examination, a student must obtain a minimum of 33% marks in BOTH the Internal Assessment AND the Board Examination conducted by CBSE separately and in each of the five subjects individually. ● If a student scores less than 33% in one subject, it will be considered as compartment, and he/she will have to write the compartment exam conducted by CBSE and score above 33% in it for promotion to class XI. ● If a student scores less than 33% in two or more subjects, he/she will be considered detained in class X.
