18 This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare, 19 having faith and a good conscience, which some having rejected, concerning the faith have suffered shipwreck, 20 of whom are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I delivered to Satan that they may learn not to blaspheme.
[2 Th 3: 6, 14 NKJV] 6 But we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you withdraw from every brother who walks disorderly and not according to the tradition which he received from us. . 14 And if anyone does not obey our word in this epistle, note that person and do not keep company with him, that he may be ashamed.
[1 Co 5: 1 -5 NKJV] 1 It is actually reported [that there is] sexual immorality among you, and such sexual immorality as is not even named among the Gentiles --that a man has his father's wife! 2 And you are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he who has done this deed might be taken away from among you. 3 For I indeed, as absent in body but present in spirit, have already judged (as though I were present) him who has so done this deed. 4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when you are gathered together, along with my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, 5 deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

Lesson 4 – 1 st Timothy Chapter 2 Goals: 1. Recognize the power of Prayer 2. Understand the roles in God’s wisdom Objectives: 1. List 4 elements of prayers 2. What are 3 things Paul wants men or women to do?
[1 Ti 2: 1 -15 NKJV] 1 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, [and] giving of thanks be made for all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. 3 For this [is] good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 5 For [there is] one God and one Mediator between God and men, [the] Man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time, 7 for which I was appointed a preacher and an apostle--I am speaking the truth in Christ [and] not lying--a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.
The 4 elements of Prayer 1. Supplication - Plead or beg for something [Heb 5: 7 NKJV] 7 who, in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of His godly fear, 2. Prayer - Normal request in contrast to more urgent 3. Intercession - Prayer on be half of someone [Heb 7: 25 NKJV] 25 Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. 4. Giving of Thanks
8 I desire therefore that the men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting; 9 in like manner also, that the women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing, 10 but, which is proper for women professing godliness, with good works. 11 Let a woman learn in silence with all submission. 12 And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence. 13 For Adam was formed first, then Eve. 14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived, fell into transgression. 15 Nevertheless she will be saved in childbearing if they continue in faith, love, and holiness, with self-control.
[1 Co 1: 25 NKJV] 25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men. [Isa 55: 8 -9 NKJV] 8 "For My thoughts [are] not your thoughts, Nor [are] your ways My ways, " says the LORD. 9 "For [as] the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.
VERSES on EQUALITY [Gal 3: 28 NKJV] 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. [Gen 2: 23 -24 NKJV] 23 And Adam said: "This [is] now bone of my bones And flesh of my flesh; She shall be called Woman, Because she was taken out of Man. " 24 Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. [Eph 5: 28 -30 NKJV] 28 So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself. 29 For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord [does] the church. 30 For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones.
Our Culture today often is counter to what God says: 1. Offended when you even consider that there are roles that Women and Men have. 2. Offended when you even consider that there a two Genders. 3. Capabilities vs. Roles.
[1 Pe 3: 3 -4 NKJV] 3 Do not let your adornment be [merely] outward--arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on [fine] apparel-- 4 rather [let it be] the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible [beauty] of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.
[1 Pe 3: 1 -2 NKJV] 1 Wives, likewise, [be] submissive to your own husbands, that even if some do not obey the word, they, without a word, may be won by the conduct of their wives, 2 when they observe your chaste conduct [accompanied] by fear.
