POZOR NA ZMĚNY PRAVOPISU BIG – BIGGER – THE BIGGEST FUNNY – FUNNIER – THE FUNNIEST K jaké změně došlo? 1) Ke zdvojování dochází u jednoslabičných přídavných jmen, která končí na souhlásku. Tato souhláska musí následovat po krátké samohlásce (např. BIG, THIN). 2) U slov končících na -y, před kterým je souhláska (funny, dry apod. ), dochází ke změkčení tohoto -y (funnier, funniest).
