Liceul de Artă- Sfântu Gheorghe partener la proiectul de dezvoltare şcolară “ COUNTRIES THROUGH ART WORKS ART AND HISTORY OF ART REPRESENTING TIME AND PLACE ” n n n This project aims at improving students’ creativity through preparing pieces of fine art or plastic arts inspired by historically and culturally important and exciting places, buildings and objects in their country, town, or region. Students will be required to cover historic places, buildings and objects, which are in their national curriculum. Consequently, their knowledge of history, history of arts and geography will develop and their ability to analyze and synthetize information will also improve. The project’s end-product will be a series of three CD-ROMs introducing their school, their country through art works. The viewer will be able to click on different topics and get detailed information on the students, their hobbies, interests, everyday routines and other information about the school and the country. In addition to the photo of each individual art works the CD-ROM will also include a description of the building, object and historic place on which it is based. This will allow students who are better at collecting and arranging information than at drawing, painting or making sculptures to participate in the project. Therefore, students with various abilities and talents could take part in the project. The CD-ROM will also contain a map of Europe showing the place and date of the historic objects used, allowing the students to broaden their knowledge of fellow EU countries. In addition to the CD-ROM the participants will prepare a web-page (this will be operational from the very start of the project) which will enable the participants to access (by using a password) and update the relevant information already created during the project and will also function as a message-board for the participants. Therefore this web-page will be another kind of end-product though, as suggested above, would function from the beginning.
