WCET report Nov 2017 • Whole Class Ensemble Tuition (Whole class instrumental tuition, First Access, Wider Opportunities) • In 2000 it was announced by then Secretary of State for Education and Skills that “Over time, all pupils in primary schools who wish to, will have the opportunity to learn a musical instrument”. • Hubs now receive funding and supporting whole class instrumental teaching is a core role.
