WCET report Nov 2017 • Whole Class Ensemble Tuition (Whole class instrumental tuition, First Access, Wider Opportunities) • In 2000 it was announced by then Secretary of State for Education and Skills that “Over time, all pupils in primary schools who wish to, will have the opportunity to learn a musical instrument”. • Hubs now receive funding and supporting whole class instrumental teaching is a core role. Share information about young people prior to, and during the course of the WC programmes 4. Schools who work proactively with hub reap benefits in terms of tailored programme
