OUR SOLAR SYSTEM! o Our solar system was made about 4. 6 billion years ago! o Our inner planets are really small , and mostly made of rock and metal. o When it was 2008, there were 5 dwarf planets.

THE SUN o The sun is at the center of our solar system. o The sun is made of 74% hydrogen and 24% helium. o The sun is the center star in our solar system.

MERCURY o Mercury doesn’t have any atmosphere , so there’s no wind or any weather. o Mercury is about the size of our moon.

VENUS o Venus is about the same size as Earth, but a little smaller. o Venus is the second largest inner planet.

EARTH o Earth is a largest inner planet. o Earth has 21% oxygen in its atmosphere.

MARS o A year on Mars is 320 days. o Mars also has seasons like Earth, but mars have longer seasons and different degrees.

ASTEROID BELT o Our asteroid belt is in between our inner planets and outer planets. o Our asteroid belt was first discovered in 1801.

JUPITER o One reason people cannot be on Jupiter is it doesn’t have a solid surface. o Jupiter’s size is 18, 750 miles and 143, 000 kilograms.

SATURN o Saturn has 7 flat rings. o As of now Saturn has 52 moons.

URANUS o Uranus was named over 2, 500 years ago. o Uranus is the coldest planet in our solar system.

NEPTUNE o Neptune is about 17 times larger than earth. o Neptune is the most windiest planet.

(DWARF PLANET) PLUTO o Pluto has only one moon and that’s Charon. o Pluto only takes 6. 4 days to spin on its axis.

STARS o Actually you know how blue means cold, well not with stars. o When start are blue they are hotter, but when they are red they are colder.

EARTH’S MOON o Earth orbits the sun, and the moon orbits earth. o When our moon is full it makes Earth’s temperature higher.

BLACK HOLE o Black holes cannot die they stay alive. o Some people think black holes are made out of stars, but no one is quite sure yet.

COMETS o Comets are mostly made of ice and dust. o Comets have a lot stuff inside of them it will take forever if I name them all.

ASTEROID o Almost all asteroids stay in a group. o Sometimes asteroids are made of platinum.

SPACE CRAFT o At the moment space crafts with people cannot get to Mars. o A space craft wit people has only been on the Moon.

EARTH’S AXIS o In the USA for our winter it’s cold but on the other side of earth it’s summer for them. o With Earth’s axis we have different time zones.

GALAXY o There a lot of galaxies out there other than the Milky Way. o In the center of every galaxy there is a black hole.

MILKY WAY o In the middle of the Milky Way there is a black hole which will never die. o If you look up at the night sky if could see 0. 00000. 5% of the Milky Way.

TELESCOPE o With a telescope you can see all the inner planets , and some of the outer planets. o During a meteor shower , you could see shooting stars and comets.

MARS ROVER o With in 23 feet anything in the Mars’ rovers way it will shoot it with a laser. o It took eight months for the rover to get to Earth to Mars.
