Mercury • • Mercury orbits close to the sun. The surface can reach up to 801 degrees Fahrenheit or 427 degrees Celsius.
Venus • • Venus is the brightest planet Venus is the same size of Earth �
Earth • • • Earth is the only planet that can provide life on it. Earth has 75% water Earth has 25% land
Mars • • • Mars is called the red planet Mars is 27 kilometers high Mars has a crater 81 kilometers wide
Asteroid Belt • • The asteroid belt is in between the inner and outer planets The colors are most likely be black or brown
Jupiter • • Jupiter is huge. It is orange , yellow , and red in color. Jupiter is very large.
Saturn • • Saturn is the 2 nd biggest planet It is the lightest planet in weight
Uranus • • 97 degree angle It orbits lying on its side.
Neptune • • Neptune was discovered in 1846 Since then it has not made a whole circle around the sun. It takes 165 Earth years. But this year , 2011 will be the first time ever , that we known of Neptune making it around the sun.
Pluto the Dwarf Planet • • Starting September 5 , 1989 Pluto was in front of Neptune until 1999. Neptune moved back in front of Pluto in February , 1999. Pluto is now a dwarf planet.
